I am writing to request for the opportunity to visit your nursery and possibly have a day's worth of training.

I am currently in Kuala Lumpur on assignment to create a special report on Malaysia for The Japan Times (www.worldeyereports). Personally however, I am developing a mushroom farm in the Philippines and am interested to learn more about their facilities and in building relations with others in the industry.

I came to know Cepaul Mushroom Nursery during my search in the website. All the while I was keen to learn mushroom culturing. During my recent trip back to Kuala Lumpur, I contact Paul to inform him that I was interested to take a lesson. We spend the day doing a hand to hand techniques for preparing of wheat grain that involve cooking time and temperature control, followed by agar medium preparations which was recommended was the potato Dextrose agar (PDA). Sterilization of grain medium and inoculation was taught under strict control and conditions. The interesting part I found was the propagation of pure culture, every steps is taught on tissues cloning under strict rules and conditions applied by Paul careful attentions. Beside the one to one person lesson, I also enjoyed the farms walk, where ones can talk and learn about mushroom cultivations from the growers.

In conclusion, I would like to thank you Mr. Paul Lai for the truly one experience I have during my time. Hope to meet up again to share our experience.

A day lesson about mushroom cultivation with Mr Paul Lai has been an eye-opening for me. I am indebted Paul for his openness and willingness to teach me about the technique and step by step guidance about spawn preparation and simple, easy and effective way he uses for sterilization for tissue culture.

I have been interested in mushroom farming for a long time, but have not had the opportunity to experience hand-on except watching it only from online short video clip.
